Peace & Goodwill Review Tour

Welcome to the review tour for Peace & Goodwill by Lee Strauss!

Belle gets the best Christmas present ever, a man in uniform! Ian is a soldier home on leave. Neither of them have any idea how good it will feel to fall in love or how hard it will be to say good-bye. Anna is spending the holidays alone again with only her faithful dog Angel to keep her company. She can’t afford to pay the rent and her landlord is threatening to kick her out. At least she’s finished with her chemo treatments. She can be thankful for that. Plus, there’s Rhys, the handsome visitor with kind eyes. One fateful, cold and snowy night a chance encounter changes everything. Love is lost. Love is found. Life will never be the same.

Peace & Goodwill, a Christmas novella in The Minstrel Series, grabs the heartstrings and pulls hard.

Review:

Christmas can be a difficult time for some. Belle and Anna are included in this. Belle is all alone since her mother died. Anna has her dog Angel and a death sentence looming over her head. Both ladies are struggling to find any good cheer in their lives. Things start to look up as Belle meets a handsome stranger. As things start to look up for Belle, Anna's situation turns even more desperate. Everything collides on Christmas Eve, and nothing will ever be the same for any of them.

This story is split between the points of view of Belle and Anna. They both have some similarities in their lives. Both are lonely. Both wish that they had a better chance for a happy Christmas. Belle sees a chance when she meets the handsome Ian in the used book store she works in. Anna on the other hand has a tumor that won't stop growing. This quick read takes some very surprising turns. It all leads up to an interesting and uplifting finale. This story gives some good cheer and hope even in the saddest of circumstances. Miracles still happen, and when is a better time for a miracle than Christmas?
